Link Building Pricing Index 2026: We Checked 30 Providers' Official Pricing Pages
On 21 August 2026 we visited the official websites of 30 link building providers and marketplaces and recorded exactly what each one publishes about its prices. The headline result: only 14 of 30 (47%) publish any usable price on their own site. Twelve (40%) are quote-gated or hide prices behind account signup, and 4 (13%) were unreachable at collection time — their sites blocked our requests or, in one case, served a hosting error page.
Among the seven providers that publish a proper per-link rate card, entry prices for a single link range from $60 (Rhino Rank's curated links) to $200 (Loganix's Essential tier), with a median published entry price of $109. At the comparable DR/DA 50+ tier, published per-link prices span $237 to $429 — a 1.8x spread for links sold on similar metrics. Monthly plans start anywhere from $850/month (Outreach Labs) to $5,500/month (uSERP), a 6.5x gap between entry retainers.
Every number in this study comes from a provider's own published pages, captured on a single day. Nothing is estimated or taken from sales calls.
TL;DR:
- Only 14 of 30 providers checked (47%) publish prices on their own site. Of the 26 sites we could actually reach, 12 (46%) require a quote, a call, or an account signup before showing a single number.
- Across the 7 providers with public per-link rate cards, entry prices run $60–$200 per link; the median is $109.
- At the DR/DA 50+ tier, comparable published links cost $237–$429 — buyers can pay nearly double for the same headline metric.
- Entry-level monthly plans range from $850/mo to $5,500/mo, and their effective per-link cost ($213–$440) is 2–4x the per-link menu median.
- 6 months is the industry's standard link guarantee: 5 of the 7 providers that publish a replacement window use it. Four providers with public pricing state no guarantee at all.
Methodology: what we did and what counts
What we did. On 21 August 2026 we fetched the official published pricing pages of 30 link building providers and marketplaces — the kind of list a buyer would assemble when shopping for link building services. For each provider we recorded: pricing model, published prices for guest posts and niche edits (with DR/DA bands where stated), stated traffic or authority minimums, and guarantee terms. Where a fetch was blocked, we retried in a live browser before marking a site unreachable.
What counts as "public pricing." A provider counts as having public pricing only if actual dollar figures appear on its own website without requiring an account, an email address, or a call. A stated floor ("campaigns start at $3,700/month" — Page One Power) does not count as a rate card, and we classify that provider as quote-gated while noting the floor. Marketplace prices visible only after free signup (Adsy, WhitePress, PRposting, Getfluence, NO-BS Marketplace) count as gated: a buyer comparison-shopping from search cannot see them.
Limitations — read these before citing the numbers.
- Published ≠ negotiated. Several providers advertise volume discounts (OutreachMonks from 10+ links/month, SirLinksALot for $5,000+ orders, NO-BS Marketplace's 10–20% fee discounts at $2,500–$10,000 spend). Real invoices at volume will differ from list prices.
- Four sites were unreachable and are excluded from all price calculations: FATJOE (HTTP 429 bot block), LinksThatRank (HTTP 403), OutreachDesk (hard Cloudflare block even in a live browser), and BlueTree (bluetree.digital served a WPX "no website installed" hosting error page on the collection date). Unreachable is not the same as hiding prices — we count them separately.
- Marketplace prices vary per site. Collaborator's public catalog excerpt showed listings from $40 + $20 platform fee; that is a sample, not a floor for the whole 150K+-listing category.
- Promotions distort snapshots. Stan Ventures was mid-"Labor Day 30% off" promotion at capture; we record its regular prices ($109 DA 30+) and note the promo prices ($76). SirLinksALot showed an August 20% promo we ignored in favor of list prices.
- One-day snapshot. Prices change. This index reflects 21 August 2026 only; we plan to re-run it.

Finding 1: The transparency gap — 53% of reachable providers won't show you a price
The arithmetic: 30 providers checked, 4 unreachable, 26 reachable. Of those 26, 14 publish prices (53.8%) and 12 do not (46.2%). Count the unreachable sites against the industry and the picture is worse: 16 of 30 (53%) give a shopping buyer no number at all.
The gating takes different forms. Pure quote gates (Linkifi, dofollow.com, Authority Builders, Linkflow, HigherVisibility, GuestPostingOutreach.com) route you to a call, a form, or a chat app. Marketplaces (Adsy, WhitePress, PRposting, Getfluence, NO-BS Marketplace) hide the catalog behind a free account — 5 of the 6 marketplaces we checked do this; only Collaborator shows listing prices publicly. And one agency, Page One Power, publishes a floor ($3,700/month) but nothing else.
Why it matters for buyers: a quote gate means the price can be set after the provider has qualified your budget. HigherVisibility's inquiry form asks you to pick a bracket from "Under $800/month" to "$20,000+/month" before anyone talks numbers. When the seller knows your ceiling first, the information asymmetry runs one way — which is why our own pricing page lists exact figures.
Finding 2: Entry prices span $60–$200, median $109
Seven providers publish a genuine per-link rate card with DR/DA bands: Rhino Rank, SirLinksALot, OutreachMonks, Stan Ventures, Niche-Edits.com, The HOTH, and Loganix. Their cheapest published single-link prices, sorted: $60, $89, $99, $109, $119, $175, $200. Median: $109 (the fourth of seven values). We exclude our own $59 entry price from that median to keep the calculation clean, and we exclude Collaborator because marketplace listings vary per site — though its cheapest public example also totals $60 with the platform fee.
Note what "entry" buys at each provider differs: Rhino Rank's $60 is a curated link with no published DR band; SirLinksALot's $89 edit is DR 10+; Loganix's $200 guest post requires DR/DA 30+ and a traffic minimum. Entry price alone doesn't tell you whether the link is any good — but it does tell you where the honest floor of the published market sits, and it is nowhere near the $5 links sold on gig platforms (see our take on buying backlinks).
Finding 3: At DR/DA 50+, the same tier costs $237–$429
The clearest apples-to-apples comparison in the dataset is the DR/DA 50+ single-link tier, which five providers price publicly:
| Provider | Product at DR/DA 50+ | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| Niche-Edits.com | Niche edit, DR 50–90 (4,000+ traffic) | $237 |
| Stan Ventures | Guest post, DA 50+ | $248 ($173 promo) |
| OutreachMonks | Guest post, DR 50+ | $249 |
| SirLinksALot | Guest post, DR 51+ (standard) | $265 |
| SirLinksALot | Niche edit, DR 51+ | $309 |
| The HOTH | Link outreach, DA/DR 50+ | $405 |
| SirLinksALot | Guest post, DR 51+ (premium) | $429 |
That's a $237–$429 range — a 1.8x spread at the same headline metric. Some of the gap is real product difference (SirLinksALot's premium tier requires 100+ referring domains and 1,000+ traffic; The HOTH includes up to 2,000-word content). Some of it is just pricing power. Either way, DR alone is a weak proxy for value — the same badge sells at nearly double depending on the storefront. The lower entry tiers show the same pattern: at DR/DA 20–30, published guest posts run from $99 (OutreachMonks DR 20+) to $200 (The HOTH's DR 20+ link insertion), a clean 2x.
Finding 4: Monthly plans cost 2–4x more per link than rate cards
Six providers publish monthly or package pricing with link counts, which lets us compute effective per-link cost at the entry plan:
| Provider | Entry plan | Links included | Effective per-link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outreach Labs | $850/mo | 4 | ≈$213 |
| Searcharoo | $1,070 package | 5 | ≈$214 |
| Editorial.Link | $1,750 package | 5 (DR 50–90) | $350 |
| uSERP | $5,500/mo | 15 (5 DR 60+, 10 DR 20–59) | ≈$367 |
| LinkBuilder.io | $2,999/mo | 8 (avg DR 50–90) | ≈$375 |
| LinkPanda | $4,400/mo | 10 (DR 50+) | $440 |
Effective per-link costs of $213–$440 versus a $109 median on per-link menus. The comparison isn't perfectly fair — the monthly plans skew toward higher DR bands and bundle strategy, prospecting, and content hours (Outreach Labs itemizes exactly those). But if you're a small site buying a handful of links, the arithmetic says a per-link rate card is the cheaper way in, and a retainer only earns its premium if you use the humans that come with it. For the trade-offs beyond price, see our guide to link building services.
Finding 5: The 6-month guarantee is the industry handshake
Seven providers publish a time-boxed link-replacement window: Loganix (6 months), The HOTH (6 months; 12 on contracts), OutreachMonks (6 months), Searcharoo (6 months), uSERP (6 months), Rhino Rank (12 months), and SirLinksALot (3 months on niche edits, up to 1 year on guest posts). Five of those seven use 6 months as the base term — it is the de facto industry standard.
Separately, four providers advertise money-back terms: Rhino Rank (up to $550 on a first order), Niche-Edits.com, Stan Ventures ("100% money-back... no questions asked"), and GuestPostingOutreach.com, which pairs a lifetime link guarantee with a full-refund promise — the most aggressive terms in the dataset, from a provider that publishes no prices. And on the other side: of the 14 providers with public pricing, 4 state no guarantee at all on their pricing pages (LinkPanda, Editorial.Link, LinkBuilder.io, and Outreach Labs, whose "cancel anytime" is a contract term, not a link guarantee).
Replacement windows matter because links die — sites get sold, posts get pruned, pages get deindexed. But note that no guarantee in this dataset promises the link will do anything: they insure the placement, not the ranking.
FAQ
How many link building companies publish their prices?
In our August 2026 check of 30 providers and marketplaces, 14 (47%) published prices on their own websites. Of the 26 sites we could reach, 12 (46%) required a quote, a call, or an account signup to see any figure.
What is the cheapest published price for a backlink from a real provider?
The cheapest published single-link price among the third-party providers in this index is $60 (Rhino Rank's curated links; Collaborator's cheapest public marketplace example also totals $60 including the platform fee). Our own entry price is $59. Published prices below that range generally come from marketplaces and gig platforms this index doesn't classify as vetted providers.
Why do most link building agencies hide their pricing?
The pattern in our data suggests price discrimination: quote-gated providers like HigherVisibility ask for your monthly budget bracket (from "Under $800" to "$20,000+") before quoting. Custom scoping is a legitimate part of it — but publishing at least a rate card is entirely possible, since 14 of 30 providers do it.
What does a typical link building guarantee cover?
The most common published term is a 6-month replacement window: if the link is removed or goes down within 6 months, the provider replaces it free. Five of the seven providers that publish a window use 6 months as the base term; Rhino Rank offers 12. No provider in this dataset guarantees rankings or traffic — only the placement itself.
