Buy Backlinks Without Buying Trouble
If you searched "buy backlinks," you already know links move rankings. You are not looking for a lecture — you are looking for links that work and won't blow up your site six months from now. This page covers both: how the market actually operates, what separates safe placements from the junk that gets sites penalized, and how LinkVetted handles it.
We are The Vetted Link Building Agency. Every link we deliver is an editorially placed content placement on a real site with real organic traffic — verified in Ahrefs before you pay a cent.
The honest state of the market
Let's start with what most agencies won't say plainly.
Google's link-spam policies state that paid links intended to manipulate rankings violate its guidelines. Links given in exchange for payment are supposed to carry a rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" attribute. That is Google's official position, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
Here is the industry reality alongside it: outreach-based link building — where an agency pitches content to a publisher and the publisher chooses to run it with a link — is how the overwhelming majority of competitive SEO gets done. Ahrefs' own studies have repeatedly found that most sites ranking for commercial terms acquire links through paid outreach in some form. The market for editorially placed content placements exists because publishers want content and compensation, and businesses want visibility. That is the trade.
So the real question is not "should anyone ever pay for link building?" — your competitors already answered that. The real question is where on the risk spectrum you buy. At one end: hacked link insertions, PBNs, and $10 marketplace spam that leaves a footprint Google's algorithms are specifically built to detect. At the other end: genuine editorial placements on real-traffic sites, placed with the publisher's full consent, with sponsored attributes applied wherever the publisher requires them.
LinkVetted operates exclusively at the safe end. We never promise to "sell PageRank," and we walk away from any placement that only makes sense as manipulation. What we sell is vetted access to real publishers, done-for-you content, and verification you can check yourself.
What safe buying looks like: the 6 vetting checks
Before any site enters our inventory, it passes six checks. This is the difference between a placement and a liability.
- Real organic traffic, verified in Ahrefs. Minimum 1,000 organic visits per month. Traffic is the one metric that is hard to fake at scale — a site Google sends visitors to is a site Google trusts.
- Stable or growing traffic trend. A site that lost 70% of its traffic in the last core update is a site Google already flagged. We check the 12-month graph, not a snapshot.
- Legitimate outbound link profile. If a site links out to casinos, essay mills, and payday loans from every post, it is a link farm regardless of its DR. We audit what the site links to, not just what links to it.
- Topical relevance. A link from a site in or adjacent to your niche passes context, not just authority. We match placements to your industry.
- Real editorial standards and publisher consent. The publisher reviews and approves the content. No hacked insertions, no CMS exploits, no "the webmaster doesn't know this link exists."
- No PBN footprints. Shared hosting clusters, thin templated content, no social presence, no named authors, registration-date patterns — we check for the fingerprints of private blog networks and exclude anything that shows them.
Every placement we quote comes with the site's live Ahrefs data — DR, organic traffic, traffic trend, top keywords — before you pay. You approve the site first. If the data doesn't convince you, don't buy the link.
What to avoid when buying backlinks
Most of the horror stories about buying backlinks for SEO trace back to four traps. Learn to spot them and you are ahead of 90% of buyers.
- Fake DR sites. Domain Rating can be inflated cheaply by pointing spam links at a domain. A "DR 70" site with 200 organic visits a month is a decorated corpse. Never buy on DR alone — always demand traffic data.
- PBNs (private blog networks). Networks of expired domains rebuilt purely to sell links. They work until they don't: Google deindexes PBNs in batches, and every link you bought vanishes overnight — sometimes with a manual action attached to your site.
- $10 marketplace links. Fiverr gigs and bulk marketplaces selling "500 high DA backlinks." These are comment spam, profile links, and farm placements. At best they do nothing; at worst they build the exact link profile Google's SpamBrain is trained to neutralize or penalize.
- Hacked and unauthorized insertions. Links injected into sites without the owner's knowledge. Cheap, sometimes high-metric, and both unethical and short-lived — they disappear the moment the owner notices, and they associate your domain with hacking footprints.
A useful rule: if a link costs less than the content it sits in would cost to write, someone in the chain is being scammed — and it is usually the buyer.
How our process works
- You tell us your targets. Site, pages, niche, and any anchor preferences.
- We send you vetted options. Each candidate site comes with its Ahrefs screenshot: DR, organic traffic, trend, and relevance notes.
- You approve before payment. Nothing is placed, and nothing is charged, until you sign off on the exact sites.
- We create and place the content. Written to the publisher's editorial standards, reviewed and approved by the publisher, with
rel="sponsored"applied wherever the publisher requires it. - You get the live URL and a report. Every placement documented with the live link and its metrics.
- We stand behind it for 6 months. If a link is removed or the page is deindexed within 6 months, we replace it free. No arguing, no fine print.
Pricing
Pricing is by DR band of the placement site, with verified organic traffic minimums at every tier.
| Tier | DR band | Price per link |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | DR 20–39 | from $69 |
| Growth | DR 40–59 | from $149 |
| Authority | DR 60+ | from $279 |
Niche edits (links added to existing, already-indexed articles) start at $59. See the full breakdown on our pricing page or our guide to how much backlinks cost.
We accept Wise, Payoneer, and bank transfer. No payment is taken until you have approved the sites against their Ahrefs data.
Risk FAQ: the questions you should be asking
Will I get penalized for buying backlinks? Honest answer: the risk is real, and it is concentrated almost entirely in junk links — PBNs, farms, hacked insertions, and bulk spam. That is what manual actions and SpamBrain target. Editorial placements on real-traffic sites, with publisher consent and sponsored attributes where required, are the industry-standard practice used across competitive niches, and penalties for them are vanishingly rare. Anyone who tells you the risk is zero is lying; anyone who tells you all paid placements are equally risky has never looked at how the top of the SERPs got there.
Are the links dofollow?
Most placements are standard editorial links. Where a publisher's policy requires rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow", we apply it and tell you before you approve the site. We do not pressure publishers to violate their own policies — that is exactly the behavior that creates risk.
How do I know the sites are real? You see the Ahrefs data — DR, organic traffic, traffic trend — for every site before payment. You can independently verify every number in your own Ahrefs account. If you cannot verify a vendor's inventory yourself, do not buy from them (including us).
What happens if a link gets removed? Every link carries a 6-month replacement guarantee. Removed, deindexed, or the page dies — we replace it at no cost.
How many links do I need, and how fast should I build them? It depends on your competition, which is a real answer, not a dodge: pull the referring domains of the pages ranking for your target keyword and that is your benchmark. On velocity, a steady handful of quality links per month beats a burst of fifty. We will tell you if you are ordering more than your site can plausibly absorb.
When will I see results? Typically 2–4 months for movement on target pages, depending on your site's existing authority and the keyword difficulty. Anyone promising ranking jumps in two weeks is selling something that isn't SEO.
